Patient directory and access
The Patients area is the clinic's working directory for report preparation. Patient information remains scoped to the active clinic, and clinical views are limited to users with the appropriate role.
- Search before adding a patient to avoid creating a duplicate.
- Use the name a provider can verify against the clinic source record.
- Treat the directory as clinical data and do not copy it into support messages.
Add or edit a patient
Enter only the information required to identify the patient and support the clinic workflow. Normalize obvious spacing or formatting mistakes, but do not silently change a person's identity details.
- Confirm name and date of birth against an approved clinic source.
- Use one patient record for one person.
- Correct the source system first when that system contains the wrong information.
- Recheck identity before uploading a file or generating a report.
Link a source record
A source link connects the Orvexa patient to a record in a clinic integration. Match on more than a similar name. Review date of birth, contact information, and the source-system identifier before confirming.
- Do not link when identity is uncertain.
- Do not reuse a previous patient's source link.
- Review the Connected sources section after linking.
- Use the patient matching screen to resolve suggested matches deliberately.
Pulled records, forms, notes, and attachments
Pulled records and forms show information available from connected products. Notes and attachments provide supporting clinic context. Availability depends on the connected product, its permissions, and the most recent successful sync.
- Check the source and timestamp before relying on a record.
- Do not assume an empty section means the source has no data; check Sync activity.
- Open uploaded documents only for the intended patient.
- Use the report review step to confirm which values were actually included.
